Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
We collect only what we need to run the site, respond to people, and improve Wodan content and services.

What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Wodan Digital Agency collects and uses information when you visit https://wodandigitalagency.com, contact us, subscribe to updates, or interact with comments and other site features.
We keep the site simple on purpose. We only ask for information when it helps us respond to you, send something you requested, improve the site, or protect the service.
Information you choose to share
When you email us, use a mailto link, send us a WhatsApp message, or ask to schedule a call, we receive the details you include, such as your name, email address, phone number, company, project context, and message.
The contact form on this site currently shows a local confirmation in the browser and does not submit your message to a server. If we connect it to a backend later, we will update this policy before collecting form submissions that way.
Newsletter and content updates
If you subscribe to a newsletter or content update, your email address and related subscription details may be processed by Buttondown, our newsletter provider. We use that information to send requested updates and manage unsubscribe preferences.
You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails through the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at hello@wodandigitalagency.com.
Analytics and site improvement
The site can use Umami analytics when our analytics environment variable is configured. Umami is used to understand aggregate behavior, such as page views and referrers, so we can improve content and performance.
We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors, build advertising profiles, or sell browsing behavior.
Comments and community features
Some blog or content pages may offer comments through Giscus. Comments are loaded only when you choose to load them. Giscus uses GitHub Discussions, so commenting may involve your GitHub account and GitHub profile information.
If you use comments, your comment content and GitHub-related details are handled by GitHub and Giscus according to their own terms and privacy practices.
Local search and technical logs
The site search is local site search. It helps you search published Wodan content and does not require you to create an account.
Like most websites, our hosting and security systems may create server logs. These logs can include technical details such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and error information. We use logs for security, debugging, uptime, and abuse prevention.
Cookies and consent banners
We do not show a cookie banner because Wodan does not currently run cookie-based advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking on this site.
The current analytics setup is cookieless. If we later add tools that require consent before they load, we will add the right consent controls and update this policy.
Third-party services you choose to open, such as WhatsApp, GitHub, Giscus, Buttondown, or social media links, may use their own cookies or similar technologies outside Wodan Digital Agency control.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential work, send requested updates, improve the website, protect the site, meet legal obligations, and maintain business records.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent your contact details. We only share information with service providers when they help us run the site, communicate with you, or deliver a service you requested.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the reason it was collected, including communication history, service delivery, accounting, legal, security, and operational needs.
If you want us to delete or update information you previously shared, contact us and we will respond in a practical, reasonable timeframe unless we need to keep it for legitimate business or legal reasons.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop using personal information you shared with us. You can also unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. We will handle requests in good faith and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website, email system, or internet transmission is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information unless it is necessary for the conversation.
Children
This site is intended for businesses and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site, services, or legal requirements change. The latest version will always be posted on this page with the updated date.
